U.S. citizens qualify automatically, upon approval, for two-year, multiple entry visas to Angola.  Non-residents do not, unless their respective countries have an immigration agreement with the Republic of Angola.

THE PROCEDURE

1. Fill out a visa application form.  Forms can be obtained from the Consular Affairs Section of the Embassy of Angola (2100 16th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009; tel.: 202 452 1042, fax.: 202 785 1258)

or

from the Chamber by calling 202 223 0540.

2. For Members of the Chamber: draft a letter on company/organization letterhead detailing the applicant's association with the company/organization, dates of travel, reason for the trip and a listing of companies, organizations and/or government agencies, and the respective contacts and government officials, with whom the applicant will meet during his/her trip to Angola.

For Non-Members: the same as above.  Also, the applicant must include, at least, one letter from a company with which the applicant will be meeting.

3. For Members of the Chamber: the Chamber will include a letter with application materials, vetting the applicant as an employee of a US-Angola Chamber of Commerce member company.

For Non-Members: the Chamber does not provide a vetting letter.

4. The application must include two passport-size photos and a payment for $55.00 per applicant.  The Embassy of Angola accepts checks drafted from the applicant's employer's checking account or money orders.  The Embassy of Angola does not accept personal checks, credit card payments or cash.

5. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope or an envelope from an express delivery service with a self-addressed airway bill charging the shipment to the applicant.

For non-members, please allot, at least, five business days for processing.
